Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. is being given another opportunity to play in the National Basketball Association.
ESPN was informed on Tuesday by agent Erika Ruiz of Klutch Sports Group that he had reached an agreement on a two-year, two-way contract.
Through the first five games of the season, Pippen, who is 23 years old, has averaged 18.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.8 steals while playing for the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League.
During the 2022–2023 season, Pippen was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers and played in six games.
He averaged 2.3 points and 5.3 minutes per game. Pippen was drafted out of Vanderbilt in 2022.
He is the son of famous Chicago Bulls forward Scottie Pippen, who is now in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
