Hallmark Actress Goes Viral With Touching Tribute at Best Friend’s Wedding

Grace Leer, a Hallmark newcomer and “American Idol” graduate, created a song for her best friend's wedding without knowing it would launch her career.

A 5.2 million-view TikTok video of her maid-of-honor performance has amazed the singer-songwriter.

In 2023's “Time for Her to Come Home for Christmas,” rising country star Leer participated in her debut Hallmark film with Chris Carmack and Shenae Grimes-Beach.

Leer posted many Instagram Stories on January 14, 2024, expressing amazement at the video's success, including a KCAL news piece.

Leer was maid-of-honor at her best friend Stephanie Horner's Denver wedding in September.

On January 3, Ollantay Films' Juan Sipion edited and published film of the performance during their reception, including the opening few lines of the song.

Leer said, “A lot of you may know I sing and I write songs sometimes in Nashville,” during her maid-of-honor speech. Steph, a compassionate and generous friend, told me she didn't want me to sing at her wedding because she wanted me to enjoy it. Classic Steph selflessness.”

Gauff broke Schmiedlova's serve every game in the first set with her return of service. After the match, Gauff stated, “I think I did well returning, and then I found my serve toward the end in the second set.”
