Lions re-sign two from the practice squad in playoff roster moves

The Detroit Lions always alter their roster the day before a game. Same with the Lions in the playoffs.

The Lions addressed active roster injuries a day before Detroit's first playoff game in Ford Field.

Not unexpectedly, two players were placed on injured reserve. Cornerback Jerry Jacobs and tight end James Mitchell were injured and out for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Two practice squad players replaced them on the 53-man active roster for the Lions.

CB Chase Lucas and TE Anthony Firkser were waived and re-signed to the Lions' practice squad earlier in the season.

Detroit also promoted DT Tyson Alualu

and fullback Jason Cabinda from the practice squad for the wild card game.
