Mike McCarthy will remain with the Dallas Cowboys despite a resounding defeat to the Green Bay Packers.

Mike McCarthy will coach the Dallas Cowboys in 2024, ESPN's Adam Schefter said Wednesday.

Dallas signed McCarthy for another season after Sunday's 48-32 NFC Wild Card Round loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“I believe this team is very close and capable of achieving our ultimate goals and the best step forward for us will be with Mike McCarthy as our head coach,”

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones stated. “Continuing the team's progress under Mike's leadership as head coach is beneficial.

Mike's leadership has led to several layers of success this season, both individually and collectively.

Mike has the highest regular season winning % in Cowboys history, and we will work with him to attain our postseason goals.

Mike's postseason success is impressive, and we believe it can continue.

Our Sunday loss is shared by everyone, not just Coach McCarthy. Our players. Coaches, front office. Myself. Our outcomes are accountable.
