According to Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Giants intended to damage his professional career. OBJ feels the Giants'
' decision to trade him to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 was their method of sending him "to die."
Beckham made the nasty remark while appearing on the "Punch Line Podcast." Beckham told Baltimore Ravens teammate Marlon Humphrey, "
There's a part of me that feels like the Giants sent me off, as I've said before, to Cleveland to die."
Beckham says he "could have gone to the 49ers, and I could have gone to the Patriots." I could have gone to a squad that had the potential to be great. And that wasn't their desire."
Instead, OBJ believes the Giants were vengeful in determining his ultimate destination: "You can't tell me this was the best trade package we could have gotten for you."
Odell Beckham Jr. believes the Giants wanted payback with the Browns trade.
His view is that the Giants were searching for retaliation when they sent him to Cleveland: "You feel like I made a fool of you or the organization, which was never truly, like, my intention."
