Will Ja Morant play tonight against Toronto Raptors? Update on Memphis Grizzlies standout (Jan. 3)

When the Memphis Grizzlies play the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, Ja Morant is expected to play.

Prior to the Grizzlies' home game against the Raptors, Morant is not mentioned in the team's injury report.

Derrick Rose, who has served as Morant's backup point guard, might miss the match, though.

Rose exited Tuesday night's Grizzlies game against the San Antonio Spurs due to discomfort in his left thigh and did not come back.

In just eight and a half minutes of play, he only managed four points and two assists, and his status is labeled as day-to-day.

The Grizzlies will be without Brandon Clarke (Achilles tendon) and Steven Adams (knee) for an extended length of time; although, Clarke had indicated that he would return during the All-Star Break.

In his first regular season matchup with Victor Wembanyama, Ja Morant emerged victorious as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the San Antonio Spurs 106-98.

With 26 points, including a spectacular dunk off a crossover against Wembanyama, the NBA's current block leader, Morant led the Grizzlies. In addition, he had one steal, ten assists, and five rebounds.
